Anwar Reviews Face-to-Face Learning Activity at SDN Pondok Kelapa 05 and SMKS Malaka Duren Sawit

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar reviewed limited face-to-face learning at SDN Pondok Kelapa 05 and SMKS Malaka Duren Sawit, on Wednesday (4/7). In this activity, he was accompanied by East Jakarta Regional 1 Education Head, Linda Romauli Siregar and other related officials.

For elementary school level, students only study for three hours and no break

He conveyed that the limited face-to-face learning activity had been studied and evaluated by Education Agency and related units. Study hours for elementary students are also limited to only three hours with maximum students who attend is 50 percent of total students.

"Previously, this limited face-to-face learning had been studied and evaluated. Each class only filled by half of total students," he mentioned.

Gambir Sub-district Head Checks Schools' Readiness for Face-to-Face Learning

He informed, limited face-to-face learning is carried out every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week. On the first day, only grade V students who participated in face-to-face learning activity at SDN Pondok Kelapa 05. Next Friday (4/9), it will be participated by grade VI students and grade IV students on Monday (4/12).

"For elementary school level, students only study for three hours and no break. If there is a break, we are worried because it is prone to interaction and has potential to develop new cluster," he added.

Students can follow online class if they are not allowed by their parents to participate in limited face-to-face learning at school. Because in doing face-to-face learning activity, school needs approval from students' parents.   

SMK Malaka Duren Sawit Headmaster, Heru Landono stated, today's limited face-to-face learning was carried out for grade XI students. They were divided in nine classes, each class only filled with 18 students. Next Friday, it will be carried out for grade X students with nine classes.

"We hope this trial can run well until April 29. Thus it can be continued on July 9 when entering the new school academic year," he said.

He explained, there is no break during limited face-to-face learning. Moreover, practice class will continue with maximum 12 students for each class.
